Service Advisor

Aston Autopark is offering a flexible opportunity for a Service Advisor to join our busy Aftersales team. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a 6:00pm finish, working alongside our existing AM and mid-afternoon team.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 10:00am – 6:00pm
  • Saturday: 1 in 3 rota (8:30am – 1:00pm)
  • Flexible working contract available
  • PM shift - typically 12:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Time off in lieu available for Saturday work
  • Additional hours available for holiday/absence cover and occasional AM collection & delivery duties

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

The successful candidate will cover the PM finish, which is 6:00pm, with a start time of 12:00pm under a flexible working contract. This will include a minimum of one Saturday morning in three; this can be more, with time taken in lieu mid-week to compensate. Additionally, extra cover hours for holidays and absence are available, along with collection and delivery hours in the AM.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to become part of a great Aftersales team within a flexible working department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front of house reception / counter – meet and greet
  • Maintain customer service levels, meeting targets set and deadlines
  • Look after customer bookings and checking vehicles
  • Advise customers on course of action and invoice any work, whilst maximising any opportunities to upsell through the vehicle health check process
  • Encourage customer satisfaction via exit handover and follow-up contact
  • Prepare invoices, explain and take payments
  • Produce estimates for repair costs and times
  • Quote and sell service plans

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Motor trade experience in this role or similar
  • Great organisational skills
  • Proficient in using computer systems
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Highly motivated
  • Team player
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues
